Bio
Amand Weaver was born and raised in Aotearoa (New Zealand).
Raised on Auckland's North Shore, Amand attended Auckland University, where he studied Child Developmental Psychology. Before completing his degree, Amand left University due to growing work commitments and what would soon become his passion.
Whilst working as a Production Manager for a print bureau, Amand was approached to work as a body double for Ted Raimi on Renaissance Pictures new television series 'Xena: Warrior Princess'. After several years working as a body double for various characters, Amand put his Martial Arts training to good use and joined the stunt deptartment as a stunt fighter for Xena, Hercules, Cleopatra 2525, and Jack of all Trades. Upon the conclusion of Cleopatra 2525, Amand began work at a modeling agency as a talent booker.
A brief departure from the film industry was not enough to keep Amand away, and in 2000 Amand returned to the industry, this time behind the camera. Starting off as a runner, then production assistant, Amand embarked on a carreer as an Assistant Director. Ever since, he has forged a successful career working through the ranks, both in commercials and films, to currently be working as a 1st Assistant Director in the commercial market.
